Easy to find with great on-site parking. The location is beautiful and there are quiet areas for relaxation and reflection dotted all around. All the staff were very professional and friendly, making the stay more comfortable. The check-in was easy and the room was comfy, clean and cozy. The en-suete bathroom was clean, bright and attractive with good bath/shower water pressure. The bed was super comfy and the room was quiet, allowing for a great sleep. The food was delicious and the serving staff were impeccable, very attentive without being overbearing. The breakfast choices were fantastic and equally as tasty. The check-out was easy with many staff offers to help with luggage.I didn't want to leave.

Cannot wait to return. Hard to find anything wanting improvement. Location, decor, comfort, facilities, and especially the staff - deserve accolades!

We had a lovely lunch, our first visit, an early Mother's Day present. We were very well looked after and are thinking of coming back for Christmas!

Stayed here for a mid-week treat in February. While the weather was mostly miserable, the welcome wasn't, mainly thanks to Olivia on check-in: a genuine smile and hello is an excellent upgrade! We'd gone for a 'snug' room. Small, yes, but larger than our bedroom at home. It could have had less furniture, and the bathroom configuration was a bit clumsy, but lovely toiletries and super-soft bedding and towels. The only irritation was because there were no sockets/chargers for your phones etc beside the bed (you had to unplug the lamp).Lovely in-room G&T service; a nice touch. The gardens/views are exceptional, and I have no doubt this place is buzzing in the summer. We had lunch at the Jetty on one occasion; five-star and absolutely excellent! Breakfast twice at Upper Deck; faultless. And drinks at the Upper Deck too (the tattooed barman is a real credit to the place and someone who clearly knows his stuff). All in all, the staff really made this trip extra special and worth every penny; we wouldn't hesitate booking up a return visit.Friendly, funny (in a good way) and professional; you couldn't wish for a more decent bunch of staff. The only negative part of the stay was down to the spa; very tired (upholstered sofas/cushions in a wet area wasn't ever a good idea) and unwelcoming. Pool/jacuzzi were probably a degree or two cooler than they should have been, but even cooler was the 'welcome' from the staff who clearly didn't want to be there.

We were looking for a nice place to spend couple of nights and recharge our batteries. Harbour Christchurch delivered. 5-star check in / out experience by Olivia. Arrival lunch at The Jetty was amazing, we couldn?t believe the location and were so impressed by the quality of the food and the charming team. Very reassuring to see Chef Alex so visible making sure everyone was having a good meal. The room was nice, a bit claustrophobic but we paid for the smaller room so cannot really complain about it. Quality bathroom amenities and confortable bed. The room did get quite hot in February so I don?t think is a good idea to stay over the summer as the hotel doesn?t have AC. Nice provision of gin but we didn?t use it, as we didn?t know how to get ice and lime. The spa is quite dated and in need of a full refurbishment, it was reassuring to find out it will happen in autumn and for sure it will make a massive difference, in the meantime do manage your expectations as the place is tired. The spa staff isn?t very friendly and avoid eye contact, even I was in crutches they couldn?t care less. It made me wonder if the spa was managed by a different company as the staff in the rest of the hotel was very charismatic and guest focused. Breakfast at Upper Deck was very good, the Continental selection may appear limited but the a la carte selection is a real treat. The Spanish manager remembered our name on the second day and allocated our usual table which was a nice touch. In the evening, Upper Deck transforms itself into a destination bar & restaurant with beautiful ambience and well curated cocktails by a very experienced bartender (guy with tattoos). We ate outside the hotel on both nights and regretted we didn?t have dinner in house as both restaurants are very relevant in terms of offering and quality oriented. It was evident they had a big following of local residents which is a good sign. The hotel location is convenient in front of the harbour but away from the High Street, a taxi is only £9 each way so not really an issue.

Overall it was good, the rooms I felt were a bit basic but like the fact you offer a welcome drink. Our room was very cold, no air con in there so summer months may be hot & most of the window shutters had seen better days & didnt close properly. Location wise its ideal, but not enough car parking bays. Food for the event was very good, service was very good with some staff & OK with others. Gym & swimming pool looked nice.

Past experiences were excellent but this time the food was cold in the upper deck restaurant evening dining.Breakfast, the eggs were not cook enough. The teapot lid was missing the handle and should not have been used. The Spa didn't have any fruit. We do appreciate that maintenance needs to be done but it doesn't make it a very relaxing experience whilst in the Spa....there was an annoying constant drilling and sanding noise going on.Walkability: Not too far away from the beach

Thoroughly enjoyed recent stay. Excellent value.Room was spotless and housekeeping kept it so throughout. The experience was made all the more enjoyable owing to the friendliness, cheerfulness and efficiency of all the staff who I sensed really enjoyed being part of such an excellent team. Appreciated the complimentary gin and tonics and the provision of ice, lemon and fresh milk each evening at 1800. As for food, meals at the jetty and Upper deck were eagerly anticipated and did not once fail to meet up to the highest of standards. I particularly enjoyed the partridge in a pear tree, delicious as was Alex's twice baked soufflé. Whilst all the staff were polite and courteous, Lauren in particular was charming and so attentive. The breakfasts too were excellent and watching the team at work was like watching a well drilled military operation in progress, no doubt due to the leadership qualities of Rafael. A further generous touch was to be invited to take the bath robe home as a momento.
