We stayed for one night with my dog, staff were lovely. However the room was slightly dated, but clean. The windows were broken and rattled in the wind and the shower was hanging off the wall (it did work fine). Was OK for a budget friendly break.Drinks in the hotel were very expensiveRooms: Small, windows were broken ans mouldy and shower was hanging off the wallWalkability: Close to Bournemouth Town centre

I had a terrible experience at the Oceana Beach hotel and Spa. Everything went wrong from the moment I walked in. The receptionist was not pleasant at all, the milk that they served with the tea was in a dirty jug. It was also so disappointing when the staff didn't even give you the time to enjoy your tea at your own pace- felt very rushed. There was a lack of privacy in the changing rooms, it should be unacceptable to have one big room without separate cubicles. There were also broken lockers and I wasn?t able to leave any of my belongings. Plus, the floor was dirty and it had hair all over. There was only one non-working hair dryer which was inconvenient, as we had to leave with wet hair. There was a smelly toilet which was also unacceptable. It looked like the spa receptionist was having a bad day as she had a problem with us leaving our robes and towels where we thought they should be left, even though she did not specify where we should leave them in the first place; this is no excuse for her behaviour. There was a lack of organisation with the whole thing. It was really frustrating when the cost doesn't match the experience, and it's no wonder I wouldn't recommend this place. I went in with high hopes for a nice day, but instead, I left unsatisfied with a loss of money . On top of all of this, the overall price payed on the day, was different to the one we agreed with when booking the day a few weeks back. We also received a letter a week after our stay to say that we were charged £100 for parking outside in the allocated spa car park. I hope that whoever reads this gets an idea of what their stay will look like if they decide to book in. A planned relaxing spa day turned out to be a complete waste of very expensive time!

We got there early and all the car parks were full for the 3 hotels. Just managed to get the last space. The cake and drink on arrival was a choice of one cake and the hot chocolate was pretty much warmed milk.Dinner menu had a serious lack of choice, all batched and pre prepped food. It wasn't great.Breakfast people had to keep asking for food to be brought out.The room was good.Staff were all very friendly and polite. We did ask reception to pass a message onto the Spa we had to leave early and miss our appointment which they did not. Can't rate the spa and massage facilities as we never got to use them.Good walking distance to the beach.I personally wouldn't go here again.

I stayed in this hotel with a reservation from Booking! As has often happened to me, the room is never the one in the photos which they obviously justify by saying it is just for example. In any case, absolutely ancient room, heating off, bathroom like in the 50s: sink with 2 separate jets for hot and cold water! It was a chore to wash your face. The hygiene of this room was not the best; in view of all this I asked to change it and they allowed me. They then gave me a modern, renovated room. Be careful!

Firstly we were greeted by a man at reception who absolutely stank of BO, he seemed abit irritated by certain questions we asked (this was also the same man who we saw smoking at the entrance of the hotel the next morning - very unprofessional). The hotel is extremely outdated, there were marks in the bathtub. The remote control to the TV was missing in our room and we never got one despite asking 3 times. The entire hotel was extremely warm, we had to use fans in the night. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The next morning after a rubbish night's sleep we went down to the cafe area and asked for a hot drinks menu, the same man who checked us in said there is no menu but every drink can be served. We asked for a mocha and he said, "that's the only one we don't have on the till."Appalling service and hotel, would never visit again.

I live nearby so haven?t stayed here, but a really nice place to stop for refreshments. On the overcliff, there is a lovely view whilst enjoying a coffee etc., Quite busy when we visited as there seemed to be some sort of ?car? convention going on. Service was still first-class though and the young barman who served us was really great.

An outdated hotel. Great location of the hotel (once across the street is the beach and about 15 minutes walk to the city or bus station). There are also bus stops in front of the hotel.Hotel room number 5 is a handicap room. Unfortunately for people who don't have a handicap, the bathroom can only be used to a limited extent. The sink was about knee height and therefore much too deep. Unfortunately not height adjustable. The toilet lid was already broken on the right side, the toilet had to be pressed several times before it flushed, the grab handles on the toilet were not clean / some screws were missing.Shower joints partly blackRoom furnishings thrown together. Unfortunately you don't feel well. Size of the room was good. The heating ran at maximum power the entire time. Couldn't be regulated down. Had the windows open all the time otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. The TV set could only be operated via the device itself. Remote control didn't work at all.The kettle and a small selection of tea and instant coffee were great. Kettle was also clean?Think if the room were modernized and the furniture was uniform. That would significantly improve well-being.

I can't fault the staff but this is a very tired seaside hotel. They've tried to make it more modern but the rooms are showing their age and it just doesn't stand up against an average standard hotel in 2019. My room was small and the decor looked diy. It's on the shore front but still 15 minutes walk to the town centre. There was blood on my room door (!?!) that I had to ask to be cleaned. Could have been a nightmare experience but saved by nice staff members on the front desk.

Boiling hot room on the hottest night of the year and radiator on when we first arrived. Turned it off ourselves after no response from reception but so unbearable and made me feel so ill we abandoned the room and slept in the car! Night staff not interested though they knew we were out there! No offer of room change just told us someone had been fine in there the week before! We paid £200 for our night in the car! Receptionist next morning more sympathic but too late. We come to Bournemouth often but will never stay here again. We accept problems occur but no was interested in trying to help us!
