Horribly mismanaged branch. I booked an appointement for a free eye test with contact lens check. They sent me a confirmation text one day prior to the appointment specifying the correct time, then sent a second text with a different time. I figured they had moved my appointment back. On arrival, the woman I spoke with accused me of missing my appointment and told me they could "squeeze me in" for an eye test, but not a contact lens check. She then charged me for the eye test! I asked her why it wasn't free (as advertised), and she said that it was only free if the eye test and contact lens check took place on the same day. I explained that the confusion wasn't my fault, and insisted she refund me, which she eventually did. I came back the next day for a contact lens check, and she refused to give me one because apparently, I should have know that I was supposed to wear my contact lenses for at least two hours before the check (which they didn't bother to tell me). I wasted two days off of work, and still have no contact lenses! I have dealt with several other branches of Boots opticians, and they've all been just fine. I recommend avoiding this one, they really have no idea how to communicate with customers.

Phoned in to let the opticians know I would be late. Was told there's a 10 minute threshold, so thought thats fine. Got to the counter not even a full minute past the allowed 10 minutes and was told they wouldn't see me. I understand you don't want to cause a back log but there was literally no other customers waiting to be seen. Awful customer servive

Optician lied to me about pupilary distance. She said she can not provide that as it is specific measure for each glasses. This is not true as it is just a distance between your pupils in mm. She lied and said that is why I should not buy glasses online and should buy it from them. There are even apps and guides that allow you to do it at home.
