What has happened to manners and caring attitude in this chemists? The level of service from the serving ladies in this place is just quite appalling. Every visit, for anything, is at least a 20 to 25 min wait - if you are lucky. It seems that they just dwaddle about to make poor older folk wait outside for ages. They are gruff and unfriendly as a rule it seems. We avoid the place, but some older locals are not able to.

Yet another 12 mile round trip to find them closed. The opening times on the website are wrong - they are closed between 1 & 2p.m. After 10 years of custom I won't be using them again.

Well Pharmacy in Yelverton is getting far better (yes, we all know it has had problems, with staff & medicine shortages). Natalia, the chemist who replaced Chris (retired) is working hard with the new team. Give them all a chance, I say...

I am always impressed at the professionalism of Chris the pharmacist. Very courteous , knowledgeable and willing to help, as are all the staff. Recently they are enduring difficulties with shortage of staff and added pressure from delayed deliveries. People need to treat others as they would like to be treated, the staff here are under exceptional pressure and deserve respect for all they do for us.

I was very impressed with the service I have had from Julie and the team at Well Pharmacy, Yelverton this week. They worked very hard to organise a complicated prescription for me for my father despite being busy. I am not sure how Julie was still smiling and so helpful and pleasant after such a busy day. Thank you.

Slow Slow Slow! The service here moves at a snails pace. Visited this pharmacy several times and every single time I've been queuing for ages. The staff don't have an ounce of urgency about them and customers are left lining up out the door. I never pickup a prescription here I only ever want to drop in and quickly buy one or two products but they don't seem to have the organisation skills to have a line for prescription and a line for sales so what results is most people standing a waiting for 15+ minutes just to make a 1 minute transaction. This isn't an isolated incident the scenario and wait times I just described happen every single time. The staff are polite but the whole operation is just so unorganized and slow.

This pharmacy is getting worse and worse. The staff have no clue what is going on or what they are doings making copious mistakes, along with taking their time whilst doing it (the wait is unbelievably long). They are rude to customers (who are unwell and need to collect their medicine) making people feel uneasy and as if they have done something wrong. I believe if you work in a pharmacy you should be compos mentis and be able to keep a happy demeanour. Sadly this is far from the case at Yelverton pharmacy. Please have a word with the staff and get some decorum back. Many thanks

The overall attitude of the blond large lady is disgusting. Every time I go in she looks at me with a nasty glint in the eye and the way she speaks to customers is wrong. Every time I go in I walk away feeing angry and really struggle to not tell her what?s what, it?s just how she makes me feel from her resentful attitude. Wish I had kept my old pharmacy and just traveled the distance.Oh and for the record the pharmacist older gentleman is always very polite and friendly with no effort.

Polite suggestion. When policies change re prescriptions/ delivery/ aromatic reorder or not, it would be useful to either notify customers by message or put a sign up in the chemist explaining, rather than having a rather abrupt shop assistant try to make you look inept as it appeared she did not have the ability to explain the changes. This followed a phone inquiry re my prescription asking if an item was waiting for me. She said the prescription was here but wasn?t done. I explained that I had none left and she replied ?well, I?d better do in now then!? Most unfortunate attitude and manner. Thanks

Just poor attitude and poor service, you can feel the huffing from staff if you question anything. My doctor specifically said she checked items were in stock, but they weren't. If they were pleasant, I would not bother putting review but nearly every visit leaves me annoyed

To quote my most recent visit last week (November 2021) my spouse had been prescribed a steroid cream as an *emergency* for treatment of a then bleeding and aggravated sore/wound at 9am on the morning of Tuesday 8th November. Dr Kelly (whom is outstanding at Yelverton Surgery) advised she had sent this along to the chemist as an emergency and to collect it asap.I went to collect the prescription at 2.30pm.Waited for 25 minutes to enter the pharmacy.Requested the prescription from the (elderly shoulder length grey haired) lady to say 'Well that's not ready!' I explained the urgent nature and my spouse had an urgent call from the doctor this morning and given we had already left it 5 hours (knowing the usual delays) I was surprised it wasn't ready. She said 'Well the doctors dont know how we work down here it will be at least 2 days' I was taken a back and said 'wow its like Doctors Vs You Guys when you should be working together surely?she replied 'Well they're Doctors ..... we're Pharmacists' - I was sent away and told to return the following day. After living in Yelverton now for 3 years. I felt that I should give all local business' a chance however CONSISTANTLY on the occasion I have had to use this pharmacy for myself, partner and 3 children, the service has been appalling, unprofessional and unempathetic. As per example above. From the severe delays for prescriptions being fulfilled to the, never less than 20 minute wait time to use the pharmacy to even purchase medicines over the counter (no prescription required) is mind blowing only to be presented with rude and condescending staff.Judging by the reviews this isn't an isolated occurrence and the service is failing on a regular basis and best avoided.

Unriendly and not efficient,I did give them 5 stars 9 months ago but sadly the blond woman who is the customer assistant is repeatedly rude to customersShe does not smile say please and huffs everytime anyone asks to collect a prescription,I tried calling them the day before and in the morning to check if my prescription was ready before showing up in person but they did not answer.Instead I got told off by her for not being organised and keeping an eye on my tablet levels.Even though they recieved my prescription the morning of the day before she said you will have to come back Monday,I asked if there was a chance to get them sooner and her reply was you will be OK to skip them for a few days! She is not a doctor and is not qualified to advice that.I said I need them please try, she huffed rolled her eyes and said wait as she stormed off and chatted to someone angrily muttering. She then asked if I pay for prescriptions and I did.She carried on acting abrupt and treated the next customer will the same distain. She does not have customer service skills at all.

My dentist gave me a prescription for 3 tubes of high-floride toothpaste, which I presented to the lady at the counter. After a ten minute wait she returned, and said they weren?t able to supply me as the dentist hadn?t filled in the little ?signature? box. The Dental Practice?s stamp was on it, and it was all written in longhand by him. ?We?re not allowed by law to dispense anything that?s not signed for? I was told. What a Jobsworth. It would have been understandable if it was for Opium or Heroin, but toothpaste!
