Stayed unexpectedly because of a hospitalisation. Extremely kind man on reception attempted directing me from the hospital to hotel. I still got lost but he was a much appreciated friendly voice after an awful day.Travelodge have a good property here. It was spotlessly clean, I?ve already mentioned one man on reception, complimented by three other young women that were all friendly and helpful. Organising another room for our son to be next door.I was very surprised just how quiet the hotel was at night. I stayed from Saturday until Tuesday and heard hardly anything. I think the property is possibly used by visiting hospital staff as the only movement I heard was about the time of day prior to the early day shift starting. The Travelodge had plenty of parking and near enough to leave the car and walk to the hospital. Just know that it?s uphill from the hospital on the way back. There was also a large eatery called the Jack Rabbit a two minute walk away across the car park.Thank you to all the staff on reception and servicing the rooms. A job well done.

Spent 2 nights here, bit noisy when you?re on the ground floor and close to the elevator.Very comfy firm mattress, unfortunately the duvets are very thin. But happy to come back here! ?

I'VE SEEN BETTER ...Ancient decor? Funny smells? Love-making noises coming through your wall? If you like that sort of stuff, you'll love it here.Like most Travelodges that haven't been updated for a while, the decor is basic and neglected. As soon as you walk into the room, you'll notice the musty smells of a stale bathroom and a carpet that hasn't been shampooed since 1984.And if the questionable white and yellow stains don't horrify you, the paper thin walls (complete with sexy-time noises), draughty windows and the unmistakable sound of people getting in and out of the lift probably will. The only redeeming quality of this hotel are the staff (who were all quite lovely) and it's easy to find location. If you're desperate to stay somewhere, here is fine. If you have a choice ... go somewhere else.

I arrived with friends quite late and had a very welcoming greeting from night staff Dan, he also helped with our luggage to our rooms. It made all the difference to us, as we were feeling tired, such a happy. Professional guy who made us feel safe as single ladies staying at the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and beds were very comfortable so we had a great sleep but the first impression we had also being taken care of by such a lovely member of staff will ensure we return to this hotel in future. We had a great stay. Thankyou Dan ?

Checked in for a one night stay ready for a hospital appointment the next day. The room was not clean, there were hairs in the beds and mysterious marks. Hairs on the tiles in the bathroom and it looked like pee was also splashed up the tiles near the toilet and not wiped. The shower had hairs everywhere too. There were tea stains on the bedside cabinets, at first we thought it was stained but we wiped it and it came off. The cloth was literally black. Tried to complain to a member of staff but no one man's the reception and spent alot of time in the back room. Left feeling dirty, couldn't sleep in the bed because of the hairs etc. Tried contacting customer service once we arrived home and are refusing to refund me. Terrible service. Terrible cleanliness.

One person on reception so may have to wait a few minutes to check in. Car park is payable if you forget to register your vrn at reception. Room was quiet even though it overlooked a main road. I informed the reception that the bathroom soap was empty, but otherwise everything was OK.

A really good place to stay to attend Derriford or Nuffield hospital. The hotel is looking a little tired and could do with some updating but was still very clean. This hotel still uses physical keys rather than fobs or cards.

The hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful. The location was perfect for me, visiting my husband in hospital over two weeks. The room was very quiet and comfortable. Good pub/restaurant next door.

Cannot fault the staff, they go out of their way to help you. My husband was in Derriford Hospital, & the staff helped me & my family in so many ways.

No restaurant here it seems but the hotel itself I cannot fault, it was lovely. The room was very clean, no sign of mould or anything. The staff were very pleasant too. Will stay here more often as I have to visit Plymouth every now and then.

Basic room and amenities. Easy access to shower with railing to hold onto when getting in and out. Building and room looks dated. Easy to get to with the car. A pub across if you want food. There is a vending machine in the hallway with basic snacks. Room is cold even though it supposedly regulated to 18 degrees and it is quite dark as there is no central lamp and lighting is provided by 4 wall lights. Brightest area is the bathroom. Bed is comfortable. The room i was in had two beds. Desk with a TV and a kettle and 2 mugs with tea and coffee sachets milk cups and sugar/sweetener.

Basic hotel no pub or restaurant Clean room friendly staff free parking easy access to town centre overall was ok. There's a pub close where I had a breakfast. The only negative smoking area is outside main door
