I?ve been there quite a few times whilst visiting friends and family (there is no other option in the hospital unless you want to visit Warrens downstairs). The staff there are helpful and friendly, except (what I assume to be) the manager, she is so rude to her staff and to customers which is very off-putting. The food is average, probably slightly less than average if I?m being 100% honest (congealed baked beans, floppy toast, hard potatoes and margarine as far as the eye can see). The real issue for me is how filthy it is. It is literally never clean, any time I?m in there whether it?s late in the day or early in the morning. There is always food all over the floor, food crusted onto the table tops, crumbs and smears of (?) something all over the place. I?ve been there at opening before when I was with my mum while she was sick and it was STILL dirty! If they read these and take anything from this review, it?s got to be the cleanliness it really is disgusting?

I had lunch today while dropping off a friend, lack of choice in the roast dinner, beef looked tasty, no roast potatoes, gammon was lean, cauliflower cheese tasteless, very expensive at six pounds fifty

I'm a disabled pensioner and Sean at your Derriford hospital M&S very kindly carried my shopping to the bus for me. He was polite and friendly.

This place has the potential to be awesome. Great food selection savoury and sweet, but closes too early! Hot food stops at 2:30pm on a week day, and much earlier on the weekend. Closes completely at 4pm! Such a shame as the menu looks great but visiting hours are often afternoon!

Lovely little hospital restaurant. A wide variety to offer from healthy pasta/salad pots, panini?s, sandwiches to roast dinners. The main attraction for me was the waffles. Wooowweeeee, Joanna made the nicest banana and Nutella waffle and when I visit my family again I will stop in for a waffle. Friendly staff, clean environment and would definitely recommend.

Quality food and a good selection but few healthy options.

Everyone?s really friendly in this restaurant, the food is always very simple but very good, and the prices aren?t bad at all. I?ve just had fish and chips and they were spot on, the chips especially were fluffy inside but perfectly crispy outside. I really enjoyed my lunch, thanks.

We went in M&S Derriford yesterday to pick up some food items. There were three members of staff visible, all 3 were adjusting a display of fizzy drinks in a fridge. None were watching the store or the tills. None spoke to us as we entered or even looked up. Fair enough, they seemed busy. There are clear markings on the floor for social distancing purposes, there were approximately 6 people in a very small store and they were all wandering around, ignoring the arrows and the staff did nothing and said nothing. Again, they didn?t even look up. We finally finished our shop and as there was no one manning the tills, we had to scan our own shopping. Fine if you have just a few bits but we ended up with £38 of shopping and would have preferred to check out at a normal till. But hey ho, we went to scan our own only to find there were no carrier bags at the self scan tills. Only very small freezer style lunch bags. We had to ask for a bag from a reluctant member of staff. She produced one from behind the normal till then returned to the ever-popular staff fridge conundrum but made no attempt to refill the empty bag clips at the self scanning tills. We scanned, paid and left. Got home to find that the sausage rolls we bought were inedible - dry and grey inside. I wouldn?t even give them to my dogs, they got thrown away. Bit of a disappointment really M&S, I don?t mind paying a bit extra for food if the quality and service are better than average but on the occasion, they weren?t.

All I can say are that the prices are off the scale. During this whole "c" virus fiasco, all other supermarkets have done something to help the public, but not these guys - still holding their hands out for their vastly over-inflated prices from mainly NHS staff. CHEERS M&S!! And now, as of the last few weeks the staff deliberately hide away in the corner and pretend not to see the queue of people waiting to pay for food. I WILL NOT USE SELF SERVICE CHECKOUTS SO DON`T TRY IT. I`m finished. Food from home from now on.

When you are not well you need food to build you up. The food you are served in Derriford Hospital is literally uneatable. Fish and chips was a piece of dry fish about 4mm thick in a thick crust made from saw-dust, served with cold potatoes cooked days before. The soup was a Boullion cube with corn flour and salt. I had a jacket potato who's skin could have been used for a bicycle saddle. I would gladly pay for proper food.

Excellent quality of food for visitors and patients at the hospital and helpful friendly staff.

Adequate supply of food items. Not the place to go to if you dont drink sugar free drinks. Basically a better option to the other food shop in Derriford hospital.
