We return here each year and are assured of a lovely holiday each time. The food is of a high quality and served by efficient and friendly staff catering for varied diets. The hotel is ideally situated for sightseeing and provides excellent leisure facilities including swimming, gym and putting in beautifully maintained gardens.Nearby activities: Peaceful walks along the RiverExe to Topsham and along the River Otter from Otterton to Burleigh Salterton. toWalkability: Short walk along promenade to townFood & drinks: Super breakfasts with lots of choice.Noteworthy details: Immaculately maintained and secluded gardens.

Absolutely amazing. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Catered brilliantly for my mobility issues, to the point that they changed our allocated room for an upgraded one so that I had no steps to tackle, without being asked to. Service from staff was fantastic, price was brilliant, hotel lovely. Fascilities brilliant. Amazing attention to detail. I would highly recommend

Fantastic views out to the Exe estuary.I was here for a post-funeral purvey, very pleasant atmosphere, which enhanced the celebration of the life of our dearly departed friend.

Sadly I was at the Devoncourt for a dear friend's wake, however, the food was excellent and atmosphere and views are stunning. Great location to stay in. I live 5 miles away but have been to the Xmas light switch on.

Spent an enjoyable afternoon in the spa. Our host Dave was very friendly and helpful.The afternoon tea was lovely and the views from the dining room amazingFood & drinks: Delicious scones with our cream tea

Came for a girls weekend!Staff tried their best and did make our weekend as special as possible, but facilities need updating and fixing !Was very cold in our room and had no welcome book/instructions on anything, so had to use the plug in heaters. Hairdryer broken :(.Got a nice massage though from the chair in the spa and a nice bit of exercise in the pool. Had afternoon tea unfortunately no music or atmosphere.Great location though 5 min walk to the beach. Personally wouldn?t stay again but definitely an experience won?t forget :)Thanks devoncourt staff

We love this place because the staff as so amazing, and the views unbeatable. Decor is a bit tired , but secondary to the above. Worth getting a sea view, . First time for staying, as we live locally.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel,It was a beautiful place to stay.The Manager and his team were amazing.Twitch barman was so good to have around and he gave first class customer service.We will stay there again.Thank you so much the Haywoods.Rooms: Great room and extremely spacious.Food & drinks: We had dinner Saturday night, we enjoyed every minute food was great.

We stayed as a family in suite 7 on Sat 21st. The suite was spacious and had a fantastic sea view. We all really enjoyed the leisure facilities and had such an enjoyable time we booked to stay for another two nights the following week.Rooms: Suite 7 was really spacious and had a useful kitchen space.

On arrival the hotel looks very tired from the outside and sadly this theme continues inside ,scruffy stained carpets and yellowing paint ,the staff were amazing especially the receptionists who so lovely, nothing was a problem, the bar and serving staff likewise, sadly badly let down by the almost non existent housekeeping, had to keep asking for basics and the cleaning was very poor when they did bother to turn up.Not the best sleep due to the constant banging of doors .The food was lovely but a limited menu ,same every night and restaurant only open at weekends ,bar closed at 10!Breakfast was brilliant and looked after well by the two ladies servingThe grounds are beautiful and well tended,with some work this could be a great place but not at the moment, would love to go back in a few years to see.
