Visited for a Sunday lunch with family after previously going for breakfast. The positives: the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. The negatives: the portions were very small. One single broccoli floret, one single piece of cauliflower cheese (my mum didn't get any), small tablespoon size of mash and garden peas and not a great deal of meat. The quality of the meal was reasonable but not good value for money and therefore unfortunately will not be returning. It is a shame as the surroundings are nice and the staff were very friendly.

I was really disappointed with this visit. I've been before and it's been great, what's changed? I was taking my freind out she chose a breakfast, I asked for pancakes. I was told they had ran out of batter?! It's great they make their own but really? Eggs, flour and milk? So I chose out of tge limited cake selection and it was limited , apparantly because it wasn't the weekend. I've never gone on a weekend and they have always had cakes. Is it just youngsters who don't know how to answer you? I asked for the Victoria sponge. Gosh, it was hard, I'd say stale. I mentioned it to the young lady and she offered me cream! Very disappointed in the response as she could see the fork needed forcing into the sponge. As I do with everywhere I will go for a 2nd time but if it isn't right, that for me will be it I'm afraid.

I booked online this place as they offered table service for Sunday roast. The views were nice in the restaurant,it also had a farm shop. Staff were very polite, and food came out quick. Roast dinner was served with homemade style Yorky. They have Bluebells ice cream :) Now the negatives- most of food was warm but not hot, the portion size wasn't very big, 3 cubes of carrot. Small spoon peas, 1 small brocoli stem. My preference would to just have plain carrots rather than coated in something. The choice of cauliflower on its own or with cheese. Also came with small mash and potato with skin on. The staff did ask if everything was OK. I said yes, as it was busy and didn't want to complain and spoil the meal out. My negatives are just something to consider. I would visit again but maybe just to try their breakfast or pop by for ice cream and a drink.

Arrived to be told no pancakes (it had only been open an hour or so!) we chose a cooked breakfast and smoked salmon/cream cheese bagel. 25 mins later the waiter came out to say - no salmon. As I was aware my husbands breakfast would be cooked at this point i was rushed into picking the toasted sun-dried Tomato bagel. This arrived as warm bread, the smallest amount of cream cream and the tomatoes - I should have sent it back but I was so hungry at this point (felt this was very overpriced as would cost pence to make) Husbands breakfast arrived with no bacon on his plate so had to ask again for that. Once eaten we asked for the bill, was just given a card reader and I had to ask for the receipt - they had charged us for the smoked salmon bagel AND the tomato one - that refund is pending due to the iPads going down. The main waitress/manager was very apologetic and could see our disappointment with the experience. We then purchased some items from the farm shop - they had some plants outside for sale which stated on a blackboard that the primulas were £1.20 - bargain I thought! Once home on our receipt showed we had paid £3 per plant - this was queried and apparently the board wasn?t for those particular plants but it wasn?t clear. We won?t be returning.

Excellent customer service from booking the table to being served the food. Homemade freshly cooked food, good selection of good but would have liked to see a special board, especially on Good Friday, as we all want Fish and chips. Local selection of alcohol is very good. Definitely will be back.

We ate here for a leaving lunch. I did not know about it before and was so impressed that I have booked to go back with my family. Excellent service, beautiful and freshly prepared food that is also generous. Reasonably priced too. Great space. Highly recommend. Many thanks! ?

This is a lovely cafe, really homely and modern! Staff are very attentive and friendly always happy to help. Portion sizes are great value for money, very yummy food so much flavour and have a variety of sweet options for pudding too :-) I got a lamb and mint pie with chips and veg and my partner got a chicken & halloumi sandwich delicious! They also have a farm shop with fresh produce so plenty to choose from very fresh high quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend to anyone :-)

Venue very noisy and echoing. Food excellent. We had the steak pie and so good we bought some from the Farm Shop to take home. Staff very friendly and attentive. Reasonable pricing on the menue. Will visit again but later in the day when perhaps a little quieter and not full noisy kids.

The place is really nice and quirky, the farm shop is great; but unfortunately our experience of the food and service was terrible. We went for breakfast, and straight away my order had missing items and rock hard toast, then when we had finished eating, the servers did not clear out table for over half an hour, and we weren't even offered another drink. The place was empy at this point so there was no reason why they couldnt clear our table or offer another drink, really poor service which ruined what could have been a really nice trip.

Enjoyed a nice breakfast here with the family. We were all happy with our food, drinks and the service. The sausages could have done with some extra cooking, but that's personal taste. There's a well stocked farm shop on site too. The only slight niggle is that on the full English you only get one of each item with no option to add extras nor a larger breakfast available to choose if you have a bigger appetite. Still, give it a try.

Tasty breakfast bap and cup of coffee whilst sitting outside enjoying the sunshine with very good quick service from the friendly staff.

Sorry but the full English breakfast was a let down for the price !!. Small pot of baked beans and a tiny bit of half tomato and 1 rash bacon along with hash brown mushroom and a tiny fried egg . Also no veggie sausage ? Who does not have veggie sausages . I would have liked the full English veggie option. Plus dogs only allowed outside . MMMM

Took my son and granddaughter for a treat and we were not disappointed. Food was good quality, there is a butchers and a shop and you can watch people having horse riding lessons while you eat, was delightful. I strongly recommend a visit

We visited this restaurant, without booking, on a Saturday lunchtime. The staff were very welcoming and the room was beautiful. We visited because a relative had recommended it as serving Gluten Free option food. The staff were very knowledgeable on the subject and many of the dishes listed on the menu could be adapted. One dish - chosen - was bangers and mash. The joy of this was that there is a deli/farm shop attached and the staff could collect the sausages fresh from the butcher. There were also cake choices - we took carrot cake home as the dinner portions were very filling. Our only downer, but that is purely because of the nature of the fact it is a farm, was that if you choose to sit outside to eat, there is a strong horsey smell. We would put up with that though if the inside was full.
