Food was lovely, proper homemade food and service was excellent. The waitress was lovely and very attentive.

It was not a great start when I read a notice on the door that the Tapas Menu was not available. I should have checked online first .I'm guessing that during a busy period a reduced Menu is common. I had the Home Made Steak Pie that was on the menu - hardly any meat inside my pie the pastry part was not to my liking either. Not a patch on a bought in Owen Taylor Pie that other pubs sell. It's not the first place where I have encountered a drop in standard during the Christamas period.

First visit to the Red Cow for food. Cosy pub great menu plenty of choice. Our party of 4 chose Fish Pie, Liver and Bacon and Steak pie x 2. Fish pie was a very large portion in a dish with mash and veg. The pies had light pastry filled to the brim with chunks of steak, chunky chips and vegetables. Liver was soft perfectly cooked with mash and peas. The gravy was to die for! Desserts were chocolate brownie and strawberry cheesecake all with ice cream. Great value and very tasty. Only downside was our waitress who seemed to be on speed pills. Everything was done at 100mph ! She slammed the drinks down on the table so hard she slopped the beers all over the table no apology. Same with our meals they were slammed down also,she seemed in such a hurry yet we were the only ones eating so not rushed at all. The older waitress was great and made us very welcome we will be back definitely.

Warm and friendly atmosphere. Great meal and very friendly staff. Have never been disappointed when I have been there.

Rather disappointed. I had sea bass which was ok. One friend had the pasta but couldn't eat it as smothered in tomsto and very salty. Three others had fish and chips, said chips very greasy. My flat white coffee was cold, very strong with cold milk in a jug, not as advertised.

very friendly atmosphere and staff. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was to die for with plenty of choice. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the Redcow for a lovely evening.

We enjoyed a superb family meal, choosing off the specials hits the sumptuous steak and ale pudding, chips, mushy peas and gravy (x2) and a 2 children?s meals off their children?s menu with ample choice to suit the children. Service was on point and the atmosphere was perfect to enjoy our dining experience. Can?t wait to go back and would highly recommend for couples / singles and families. An excellent place for homemade food and a cosy atmosphere with excellent staff. To top it off they cater so well for allergies and intolerances. My mum is coeliac and she was so excited to have GF fish and chips, onion rings and cheesecake. The GF pizza was good too, although not as amazing as my daughter's homemade pizza. We will definitely be coming again.

Visited here for a main meal and drinks and I couldn?t fault one thing at all , the staff were all very friendly and welcoming and the lady that was serving us really couldn?t do enough for us (lizzie) the food was cooked perfectly and arrived in good time and great portion sizes too ! We also had a dessert too the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was amazing I highly recommend it , we will 100% be visiting again soon , thank you so much for lovely meal

We visit on Friday night, and it was pretty quiet, but the food exceeded our expectations. The Salmon with noodles was cooked to perfection and the Beef Pie was homemade and very good. The lady serving was very attentive and friendly. We will be back. Highly recommended if your in the area.

Lovely food, great service. Will be our 'go to' pub from now on. Cozy atmosphere, not crowded. Be mindful food isnt served on Mondays though. Enjoy.

A massive thank you to Diane and all her team for everything they did to ensure the surprise Sunday lunch for our daughter?s 30th birthday on Sunday 16th July was a great success. From the moment I booked, to the time we left, the service we received was fantastic. We were a large party of 26 adults, 5 children and a couple of babies, and despite the normal Sunday roasts being served in the the pub, the staff were not phased with looking after us too in the function room , they we?re so calm, friendly and accommodating. All of our meals were so tasty and served with good timing on each table. A fabulous, homely pub, with happy, helpful staff. All of our party are saying how much they enjoyed the food and friendliness of the staff. Thank you again to you all. Highly recommended and we will return.
