Sad to write this as usually have had good Customer Service for years with you but today i was left disgusted and let down as a long term customer of yours.Today the Counter Asistant was speaking far to loud for a professional bank establishment asking to many personal questions infront of another Customer that i found unprofessional in an open environment for all to hear which is totally unacceptable. Not all customers like disgussing their private life in public and just want a professional service .What happened to preventing fraud also when this lady is having loud conversations asking questions that did not even relate to her role at all, i dont know this person at all so why is she asking so many personal questions that dont relate to her role .It is not good enough when i wrang to complain that another of her colleagues said oh we will turn her microphone lower totally dismissing my point that she shouldnt be asking customers none relatable questions to her role .You even send fraud warnings out not to give anyone details yet this member of staff was far to personal over stepping the mark.I found her to be overly nosey and probing thinking its none of her business !! i felt like saying with the amout of questions she fired at me, i found it overwhelming and very unprofessional indeed and overstepping her role as she represented the bank unprofessionally not giving me any confidence to continue my loyality with you or approach you in the bank itself ever again. There is a massive difference between engaging with a customer building a professional relationship than being to overly personal and nosey making the customer think god how unprofessional and get me out of here fast , i came in to bank not share my personal life story with a radom person i dont even know giving out private details i came in for a professional service thats not alot to ask .There is a massive difference between being professional and approachable that being rude thats how i felt she was towards me .She made the bank seem more like i was being served by a fast food outlet worker on their first day with no confidentiality training , more than a Reputatable Professional Banking Service that should have set standards of practices to adhere too..The transaction i felt went on longer than needed as this counter assistant was not accepting no as an answer that i wasnt interested in something she offered .Dont like pushy people and it made me feel uncomfortable as a customer feeling rail roaded into changing my mind .I know its part of this persons role to push what the bank offers but come on respect to a customer cost nothing as without customer there will be no bank ! The bank needs to be more diverse as there is so many different type of people walk through your door and pushy tactics isnt right to use on everyone .

Been with Co op bank for 14 years, lack of branches is annoying but you can pay into account at any post office, this is a pleasant little branch with friendly staff

Nice staff , but rubbish opening hours for people that work full time as they?ve cut it way down , can?t even pop in Saturday mornings if needs be now. Not everything can be done online! Even if one day a week open later or at Saturday morning like before!

My partner applied for a Co-op current-account on-line and was informed the application was approved. However, when we went to the Chesterfield branch to provide identity documents, we were informed that the application had been declined and were given no reason. Our issue wasn't with this per se, but with the unhelpful and arrogant manner of the surly matriarch who dealt with our enquiry, demonstrating no customer service skills whatsoever. We went around the corner to Barclays and were able to open a current account on the spot, no problem!

Why go to just a number bank when you can have a bank that still cares about you.

Our issue wasn't with this per se, but with the surly and arrogant manner of the middle-aged lady who dealt with our enquiry, demonstrating no customer service skills whatsoever. We went around the corner to Barclays and were able to open a current account there, no problem!

I recently lost my partner very suddenly at the age of 53, and it would have been his birthday today, 22 May. I went into the branch office at Chesterfield to register his death and I was told I would need to make an appointment. I appreciate that fact, but the lack of consideration shown by the staff was deplorable. Not one sign of professionalism or empathy was shown. I am utterly disgusted and would never recommend this Bank, which is disappointing in view of the fact that I shop regularly at the Co-op store on Elder Way
