Fantastic experience! I booked in for a free exhaust check for Tuesday and by 5.30pm the same day I had a phone call saying it was ready to collect and all work was completed ? They even gave me a lift to work whilst my car was being worked on ? I usually find it quite stressful and daunting going to get car repairs and especially as a female can feel quite intimidating but it was smooth sailing throughout! Had my MOT booked in and was told on the email to turn up 10 minutes before. Due to traffic and a road closure it took me 20 minutes to go not even a mile up the road and I got there 5 minutes before the time- totally out of my control. I was told straight away that it was too late as I didn?t turn up 15 minutes before (which I disputed per the email)- they refused to do it. I was told that they?d already started doing the next one in the slot and that everyone else had already paid so they couldn?t cancel anyone (I didn?t even you could pay in advance so I don?t understand what relevance it had) I was also told that the mechanics couldn?t ?legally work after 5pm? so there was no way of fitting me in. And then I was told I could ?wait and see if the 3 or 4pm slot turned up?. He tried pointing me to some ?MOT law? on the wall but I wasn?t having any of it. To be fair they did give me the number of National tyres down the road and I?ve managed to fit in next week - but I am now losing 3 days of work due to the MOT running out during that time (I booked a long time ago and this was the only slot I could get).The garage I?m booked in at couldn?t understand where these ?rules? came from and agreed with me on everything I?d said. I?ve complained directly to Halfords and am currently waiting to hear back. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely shocking, been getting my car fixed at Halfords for years no issues, this time FAILED MOT for an engine light that was not on my car when taken into the garage, Also had a 10 point car check 4 days prior which passed however advisory on tyres ?I got an electrical mechanic out to my car to fix the issue and funny enough no issue detected I went back to the test centre and the guy on the front desk was very rude and unprofessional he said I would need a re test , when I showed him a picture of the diagnostic just done on my car they quickly passed my MOT this was a scam to get more money out of me. Whilst waiting for them to recheck I heard the guy on the front desk say the next car will fail before he even pulled it onto the ramp to the young lad who was doing the next test, no shame at all. I recently found out you only need to detach the sensor for the diagnostic machine to pull up lots of error codes. I have made a formal complaint, waiting to hear back. Will be canceling my premium membership and will never go Halfords again. This garage needs to undergo investigation judging from other reviews.

Won't trust these guys with a pair of walking boots never mind a car. Wrong parts fitted on friends car, resulting in a brake down and complete loss of movement on the motorway...just lucky it was at the end of the M/way and at traffic lights...could've been seriously worseAvoid 1000%

First booked free air con check. The guy wasn't sure how to check it. He called for another guy, who also wasn't sure, I told them it had been recently recharged. OK its must be leaking. They booked me in at their Autocenter for the next day and charged me £17.49 for a diagnostic check. I duly arrived at the appointment time, 11.30am.I was asked several times why I was there, at 12.30 nothing had been done. Maybe because they had several aircon checks all booked for 11.30am. They have only one machine I was told we will do it next. The looked at the car and told me the condenser was leaking..they did nothing only looked at it. They quoted me over £400,I have several quotes much less, its booked in elsewhere for£345 .Two wasted days, will never use Halfords again.

10/10 Service and Care, would highly recommend.Had my Peugeot 2008 serviced by the team after I had advisories on my car from an MOT.Had all the break discs, break pads, fuel filter, wheel balance, both rear tyres, and a coolant changed so a big job. Yet the team managed to get it all completed in just 6 hours!Kept me updated with what was happening throughout the day, and honestly I'll just be coming here from now on.Even sorted me out a few discounts as I was having so much work done.Thanks again to the entire team who help, it was greatly appreciated.

Initial conversation was ok and promised to have the right part ordered. But soon realised they are very incompetent liars. Took my car in for regular maintenance - fuel filter, air filter, oil change etc. I made a mark on the fuel filter so I?ll know if it was actually changed. 2 hours after dropping car off they said it?s all done only to check and notice not only was it not changed, a pin holding the filter in was lost. After arguing with me for a bit, they then succumbed and admitted that it wasn?t changed - when I showed the mark I made on it. What?! Then promised they?ll change in 5 mins only to bring the wrong part (even by their own terms) for my mercedes. I declined and asked for a refund - 2 weeks after being told it?s been processed, no refund (best believe I?m getting my money back). Now not sure if other parts were changed or if the right parts were used. Never using them again, not worth any savings! I would steer clear! Was charged £118 for fuel filter, got this fixed at mercedes for £145. Not worth it!Ps. I have used their mobile service for tires and that is brilliant and convenient. But anything to do with engine or fixing internal parts, never using them again!

I got my car serviced yesterday at this centre and compared to the customer service I?ve received at other providers, this was great. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful, Jack was able to move my appointment forward which was great. Libby especially, who serviced my car (which was done soon after I dropped my car off) took the time to come help me with a query I had regarding my car and how to get it resolved. She did a great job of given me a detailed explanation in a way I could understand and made me feel like a valued customer.I would definitely recommend using their services.Service: General repairs & maintenance
