It is a bank where if you want to find out more details, you have no one to talk to and no one helps you with the problems you encounter with this bank.\\nThey want to close my account permanently and I have called countless times, I have personally been to the bank several times and no one tells me anything about what is happening with my account, I asked them for details to show me what is happening with my account and no one wants to tell me anything, total lack of respect and common sense of this bank, left a bitter taste in my soul and I do not recommend this bank to anyone.\\nAt this bank you are not respected as a citizen and you are not listened to, they simply draw their own conclusions and make the rules as they please.\\nIt's a 0-star bank, honestly, I gave one star because it doesn't have the 0 option, as if I had given myself a 0 plus!\\nBe very careful with this bank.\\nThank you!

The members of staff here I talked to today were incredibly rude and disrespectful. I was told everything that I needed could be done online or over the phone, but I had already looked this up and needed someone to speak to about something not on the Barclays website. Told that I wouldn't be able to see someone in person until March - what is the point in having a bank to go into if I'm told at every turn to do it online?

I went in today to sort a complicated issue out as a power of attorney for my Dad's account and the service was amazing. The bank advisor (Tracey) took her time to help me through the issue and I just want to say thank you so much for being so friendly! Very supportive :-)

Wow what a bad experience. I got told on Friday to come back Monday to take moneys out over the counter.and today am geting asked to wait for 30 mins until a college comes back from dinner. I have come on My dinner. This is not what I would expect from a high street bank , natwest are by far best bank in my opinion, and barclays need to higher there standard!!!!! No empathy no professionalism.no1 should be told to come back or wait for there own money

Barclays are slowly becoming the worst bank on the plant. Customer service is non existent, they have your money, so they really don?t care. Try to make an appointment to see a banker, it?s like trying to see the Pope.So what does this tell us, firstly the business is not managed correctly, short staffed, and want everyone to bank online. Why do they want you to bank online? Another simple answer, they want to reduce costs. Do they care about reviews on Google? No they don?t, because no one from Barclays reads them. Well done Barclays, absolutely useless.

Absolutely atrocious service at this bank. The staff need to be retrained as they change the rules for withdrawing money each time you go in!!! They also need to be retrained in their attitude toward customers as they really could not care about the mistakes they quite openly admitted to making.I also asked who I thought was a manager to email me with the complaint information and how I could escalate but when I got home she failed to even email me.I have now had to call Barclays to log a complaint about the staff and what I had experienced with my son and just to point out your customer service is much better by phone!!if you want a bank that actually gives good service I?d recommend Lloyds or Halifax!!!

Was called a lair by staff and Richard the manager.. i arrived at my appointment 30 mins early. When I booked my appointment the lady wrote me a list of everything I needed to bring. (Iv waited since before Christmas for this appointment) said what I brought was valid. So I explained I only brought what I was asked to as per checklist. Called me a liar and said I was told what to bring. Argued with me. Would not recommend at all!!! I will be taking this higher. Disgraceful! Blamed me for not bringing what they wanted yet I brought everything on the checklist I was given by said member of staff!!!

Always had a good experience in branch but can totally understand why some complain about lack of counter service availability. What I don't understand is the significantly reduced opening times (9:30-14:00 and not at all on Saturdays!) . Surely during a pandemic you should be open longer to encourage people to spread out their essential trips and avoid crowding in branch? I get it, most people can bank through the app or online, but not everything is that way and not everyone is digitally minded yet! Just a thought...
