CAFE - the smallest portion of chips I've ever had, and so dry I couldn't eat them. If I wanted sauce too make them anywhere near edible, that would cost extra!! The sausage roll was no better! For the cost, I would have expected something resembling a chewable meal. And if its due to the time off day, well why not reduce the price to represent the poor quality?Very disappointed

Located on the Wirral, set in 15 acres with beautiful flower boarders and a large pond. Gordale is a lovely garden centre to visit. They are an award-winning garden and home store with a great team of helpful and friendly staff. The café is clean, well staffed and the food is reasonably priced. Excellent disabled access throughout the store and garden. A fabulous family run business. Definitely worth a visit. Membership/loyalty cards available that give you points to spend in store, great offers every month, plus a free monthly hot drink and a slice of cake every August to celebrate Gordale garden centres birthday. ??

Gordale is a really nice garden centre, think it regularly wins awards like best in Cheshire but the cafe is pants! Far too cold, white and clinical. The cheapest petrol in the area as well so worth a visit

Great selection of garden and home produce

This must be the largest garden centre in the Wirral. It can take a few hours to get around. It stocks just about everything you can think of for the garden. It has a large playground for the kids to keep them entertained. We tried the restaurant out and I had the Beef Stroganoff and it wasn't too bad at all. The place is split between indoor and outdoor plants. Outside is a nice place to sit on the benches in the Summer. Unfortunately it's March and it's freezing out there at the moment.

Stopped at the cafe for lunch. Nice place but not much food choice for vegetarians. Lots of meat......pies, pasties, sausage rolls, sausages in onion gravy, some kind of gammon in a white sauce etc. Only 1pm and the quiche, which would have been suitable, had already sold out! Could have had soup, chips or mash with just garden peas, sandwiches, that was about it, not terribly exciting. Had a jacket potato with beans and cheese which was ok but expected more as the meat eaters were totally spoilt for choice!! Bit disappointing that in this day and age vegetarians are not better catered for here. If you are vegan then you stand no chance.

We have been going to Gordale for many, many years. The continuous investment and development of this family run business makes it a pleasure to visit. They have a huge range of stock and their plants are covered by a guarantee that we have only had to use once but the tree in question was exchanged without any problems.Their wide range of other "non gardening" goods means that you can always find something for anyone. Our Christmas tree from Gordale was one of the best we had ever had. It was as good in January as when we purchased it in early December. A truly fabulous garden centre.
