Food and prices are not this shops strong point, with limited items out and all with expiry dates of that day I am currently struggling to budget with the food prices hike as I can no longer do a week's shopping in one trip and take advantage of multi buys or lager packs. It would also be nice to have full access to the car park! Parent and child spaces are provided OUTSIDE of the trolley limits, so when shopping with a child you encounter a choice 1 damage you shoulders dragging tolly and child to your car, 2 leave your paid for food to take child to the car, 3 abandon your child to take paid for food the the car. This line at which the trolley stops at by the way is not marked or sign posted in any way so you're also likely to break a rib when you encounter this line.

Only 2 manned tills open at a very busy time and there were large queues at the self serve tills. Not good enough!

I like Asda, decent value and can get most everyday items. Not 5 stars because you have to pay for parking. Where else do you pay to visit a supermarket ?? Get your act together EP council, ever wondered why the port arcades has died ??

Very bad Customer service and been waiting for Uber orders for hours and the guy said - this could take an hour to collect from the store .

Bad experience after bad experience here. Cannot believe you have to pay to park at a supermarket for a start. What a cheek, and it?s had a 60% price increase this year! Don?t we pay enough council tax? Tried a click and collect order once - don?t bother. They don?t bring anything out to you. You have to go in for it and wait around for someone to then go and get it. Not really the point of click and collect and not the experience I?ve had at other Asda stores which, in comparison, has been delightful. Opticians had me waiting a good while whilst one of the team tried to take off the 2 for promotion amount, only to then receive a phone call half an hour or so later accusing me of not paying. When I suggested they check their cctv before accusing an innocent member of the public of theft they said I needed to prove it and they don?t have an electronic journal to search for the transaction. Are we in the dark ages here? The pharmacy are a waste of time too. They don?t have any prescriptions made up in advance so you have to wait, and then when they forget about you you get told you should?ve reminded them you were waiting. I mean, what are you getting paid for? Tried a George click and collect order then only to find out a week after the date I was meant to collect it that with zero communication from them it was being cancelled and refunded. Went to collect it and was told I had to wait for a text. Then it got cancelled saying there was a problem but no option to reorder or anything. Absolute joke. Food deliveries are good don?t have too many issues with them but apart from that go as little as possible

I have a terrible headache and feel awful so decided to order a few bits to be delivered from Asda. Items missing but still charged. No substitute or explanation. It was sixteen items for goodness sake not a full shop or anything. This is not the first time things have been missing but thought I would give the benefit of the doubt. Won't be ordering from here again as I still have to go out to get the rest of food for dinner. Do better asda

Had ordered delivery online but it failed to turn up and stated it had been delivered. Was so upset as had no food in for the kids and it had cost over £100. Took photos of my cupboards and fridge and went with my friend as support incase disbelieved me. Asked the security bloke who's been there for years if he could contact the delivery manager which as always he responded in a very friendly manner and didn't question why just called through.Delivery manager, who I found out had previously worked on checkouts came and took me and my friend into a small office but in private away from others so I could speak comfortably regards this missed delivery explaining all. No questions or proof needed, the delivery manager printed my order off and apologised explaining that I needn't worry, he would go and pick all on my order himself! Amazing!Came and found me about half hour later and took me to pick substitutes for myself of items not in stock. Was no problems at all, very friendly and apologetic and made sure I went home with all or replacements at least. Excellent customer service!Even when in store, every single member of staff have always been very friendly and polite, from security, kiosk and customer service, till and self checkout, shop floor and cafe, each and every member of staff have never not helped me in some way and always had excellent customer service ???. Nothing ever too much trouble ever and I have shopped here daytime and during the hours when 24hour opening! Highly recommend shopping here and think the staff are amazing considering some of the few customers that give them so much abuse at times for something that maybe out of their control or out of their department. Each and every member of staff their have always helped me with anything! If a store was to be nominated for the best team, I for one would highly recommend this store to win an award! Nothing for any staff member is too much which for the customer is so reassuring so well done to you all at Ellesmere port, Ur all amazing in there ??????????

We were just about to check out at the till and my wife took ill due to her diabetes low sugar levels. Toni McSherry was kind enough to come to our rescue and took charge of the situation. She provided a chair for my wife to use to recover. Told me to get some orange juice and my wife to eat some Mars bars and kept returning to check on the progress. We want her assistance to be recognised as she really did help us and went the extra mile. We want to express our gratitude for her help. Please pass on our thanks.Paul and Cheryl Birmingham

Only one till open on a Saturday evening. When I asked if they could open another one, as there was a long queue, they said I could scan the shopping myself (full trolley) if I did not want to wait. However, there were lots of Asda staff standing around the self-service tills.

Went to sample the 1 pound offer in the cafe.the person serving me was the most horrible person I have ever come across.she told me to order from another counter even though there was no indication where you have to order from. Once I was there she shouted from where I was first ordering from yours is a pound then I had to make my way back to the original counter I was on . She shouted on top of her voice make sure you only have a small tea or coffee even though she gave me the cup to use Asda you can stick your cheap meals if you employ people like this
