Staff polite, friendly and helpful, but overall very disappointed with breakfast.Cooked breakfast options were cheap standard fare, nothing great, nor terrible, but choice limited and outside of this was none existent. An option of cereal or a DIY pot of porridge available at separate cost; a bit more variety and effort wouldn't go amiss.Kids eat £1, great... but it needs to be processed via a tedious app. And unless they drink water expect £3 more for a juice - Kids breakfast on the standard menu is £4.50, which includes a drink, so 50p saving is not so rewarding. To note the place itself was well kept and inviting, including the staff. But Toby let them down with the limited and cheap food, and silly app which wasn't worth the trouble.

The Toby Carvery is a nice looking building and from the outside it looks clean and very inviting. There is a big car park with ample parking spaces. We walked up the steps which lead us to the restaurant were we greeted at the door by smiling waitress who showed us to our table. Drinks and food were ordered, and as we came for the Carvery Roast Dinner the order was fulfilled quickly. We went on to opt for the medium plate of food, service was good and the large display of meats and vegetables looked delicious, great selection, gravy and sauces also looked yummy! We couldn't wait to tuck in. The Roast meats were very thinly sliced but tasty, the vegetables nice and Yorkshire pudding was very, very good. The children's meals were disappointingly uninspiring, the two sausages were very dry and the chicken burger consisted of what looked like two dry chicken nuggets in a bun, they did not enjoy their meal at all and left it uneaten. We did say to the waiter that the kids meal was dry and the children did not like it, and it would have been nice if he looked interested and asked if they wanted to choose something else but no he did not! Toby Carvery please remember that children are your future customers. Make their memory and experience of your restaurant's fun and exciting! I would visit here again because the adults meal was reasonably priced and tasty, I would also order a small roast for the children, they ate most of ours.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: You are asked if you have any dietary restrictions before ordering food.Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't say that this restaurant was kid friendly, the children were aged 6 and 7 years, it was as if they were invisible and they were ignored during the ordering process. I would recommend that Toby Carvery try harder to give every child who visit their restaurants a very memorable, involved and happy experience.

Paul is a real asset to your company, without his fantastic service and happy personality it would definitely not be the same dining out experience. As a family group or just a couple he is always professional and courteous.

Very good service. Carvery was excellent. The puddings we had (crumble) was ok, the sticky toffee pudding was terrible. Basically a dry sponge. Nothing sticky about it! All in all enjoyable meal

After waiting over 10 mins to be seated 4 different waiters/waitresses served us during our visit. I requested if i could have a childrens meal as I have a small appetite but was told they're for under 12's only despite I've had kids roasts here before.Meat was very fatty and not good value at all at just under £15 for a roast, the potatoes had been sitting too long and were dried out, the carrots were dry also. The fruit crumble has shrunk dramatically since I last had it and what happened to the unlimited custard in a Toby jug?!.Definately won't be visiting again.Poor service, no atmosphere at all and poor quality meat....

Our first visit to a Toby carvery for ages. We were welcomed and served by Helen who was friendly and provided great customer service. The menu had a good selection, we opted for the standard carvery. The food was hot and tasty, and served by a pleasant chef. The turkey and beef were succulent and melted in the mouth.Overall a pleasant and very reasonably priced experience.

From the minute we stepped in to the moment we left, was an absolutely perfect visit. The service from all staff was superb. The food was gorgeous! Hats off to Tina & Mark and also the chefs/carvers for bringing such a positive atmosphere to the restaurant, especially when it was so busy! Highly recommend.

Atmosphere very relaxed worm and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and don't make you feel rushed to eat and get out even though they were busy. The food was really nice my whole family and I enjoyed it. Would go againParking: Plenty of parking but very tightKid-friendliness: Although no park or anything for the kids to play on. There is a small garden for them to run about itWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading to the main entrance. And a wheelchair lift inside to get from one level to the other

A very decent eatery by all accounts, as you would expect, cheap, and very ample helpings. The atmosphere is again, as you would expect, populated by simple folk who intend to eat their own bodyweight in food, people keep themselves to themselves and just keep their heads down and get on with it. The owners keep this place very warm, so make sure you come in shorts and a T-shirt, no doubt the temperature choice is selected to encourage people to eat less food. All in all, a good place. This is not gourmet, but it will make a hungry man full.

We had the festive menu and it was fantastic. A few in our party have food allergies and they were really conscious of making sure we knew what to avoid. It was a lovely meal and somewhere I will have to visit again when this side of the Atlantic.Dietary restrictions: The staff made sure we knew exactly what would effect those with allergies.

No complaints at all. Booking online was simple and straightforward. Received a nice welcome on arrival and was promptly shown to table. Waitress took drinks order and checked we understood the carvery. Chef was friendly whilst being efficient and the food choice was excellent as was the quality. By the time we had our food our drinks were already at the table. During the meal our waitress checked that we were happy with the food. All in all a very pleasant experience in nice warm and friendly surroundings.

Our 1st visit since its refurbishment. Nice decor, clean, and inviting. We were served by Helen, who was welcoming friendly and offered brilliant customer service. The food was hot, tasty, and plenty of choice served by a pleasant chef ( didn't get his name but has been there 6 yrs ). As usual, it was very reasonably priced. It started getting busy when we were leaving, and you can see why. Can definitely recommend Toby Hoole village.Well done.

I took my two grandsons for a meal as they both turned 14 that week. It was a lovely experience. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful and looked after us well, all evening. We all had a standard carvery, followed by dessert. We'll definitely go back again.
