Quite a good display of electrical items. Unfortunately there was a gang of scrotes running into and out of the store causing a breach of the peach until the police arrived. HP Envy 6032 I wanted was not in stock, had to go to Chester

As I knew what I was going for the only interaction I had was at the till. The shop is always easy to navigate and laid out really well. A great range of electrical good ranging from domestic appliances to digital cameras and everything in between

Mis-sold insurance for a 65" TV. At point of sale was told that for £7 per month insurance would cover for accidental damage and breakdown promising a TV repair within 7 day's or a new TV if they couldn't repair it. Was also told that if you take the insurance and then cancel it after the TV was safely mounted on the wall then it was a win win!7 months have gone by and the worst happened - my son caught the TV with his backpack; no physical sign of damage but with TV turned on it had what looked like a very small mark but with a 1" wide vertical band of coloured lines. Fortunately for me (or so I thought) - I had not cancelled the insurance so expected to be covered.Contacted Currys Care and explained what had happened and was happy to hear it was covered and they arranged to pick it up on the following Monday.Monday came and the collection team duly turned up with a flat pack cardboard box but no tape, screen shroud or packaging material. After borrowing some of my duct tape they assembled the box and then decided to ditch that one in favour of some packaging material from another 65" TV they had just delivered. Whilst leaving the house the bottom fell out of this box and the TV in its modified packaging hit the doorstep. Being under the impression that the TV was covered for accidental damage and still could not see any physical damage I was not duly concerned and they went on their way.Friday morning whilst out of the country I was asked to contact the care team urgently which I did - I was informed that the TV had physical damage and was therefore not covered and they were returning my TV without repair.TV arrived back this morning and I switched it on to provide a photo of the damage for my home insurance to find that the small damage had evolved into a quarter of the screen damaged with what looks like a large crack covering half of that area! Will never darken the door of any Currys store again and am now in pursuit of a complaint against the misrepresentation of the insurance.NB the store manager did tell me that the salesperson is no longer with them - zero consolation to me!BEWARE OF BUYING ANY CURRYS CARE PLAN!

there are lots of staffs roaming around just to pass their shift time, no one is really interested in helping customers. recently i went to this branch twice to buy a phone but came back both times because the staffs were not helping or they were unaware of the offers (which i knew through their website) available with the phone. later i bought the phone online with much better offer. i would recommend buying online rather than going to this useless branch.

Spent an hour (yes an hour) in here today returning a faulty item. During that time, all I witnessed was an array of customer complaints eg Products not working, Goods paid for by people but they hadn't received their items. It was evident that the team of staff in place had absolutely no idea how to handle these complaints. They even asked one elderly man to leave and escorted him out the door. He did nothing wrong. An absolute shambles would be a really polite way of describing this store. I've genuinely never seen anything like it. Currys you should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourselves, and perhaps think about investing in customer service training - it's not fair on either your customers or staff to be put in that position and I certainly won't ever be purchasing from you again.

I went to buy a MacBook Air for my daughter for Christmas. I was served by Jenny whose knowledge of Apple products turned out to be very poor. She showed me the colours available in the range of display models. I chose one and she disappeared for 15 minutes to get one. When I got home I noticed that it was the incorrect colour so I had to return it the following day. When I did so Jenny was evasive and defensive instead of being helpful and apologetic. The in-store Apple representative eventually sorted it out no thanks to Jenny (who caused me unnecessary stress and inconvenience). If you ever go to Currys to buy an Apple product, make sure you do so through their rep. Also make sure that the box hasn?t been dropped before you leave the store; I bought a Denon Hifi there in 2013 and the cd lens broke within a few years because it had been damaged in transit. I should have returned it immediately and demanded a replacement.

Disappointed that my click and collect order (from store stock) was changed to satisfied from warehouse stock in the background. The store staff were unable to update. Wasted journey to store and wait of a few days now.

There's either loads of staff or none available, especially when you want something! Good range of products and some good deals to be had.Bought a software bundle that they made up on the spot, couldn't leave it for the price offered even the lad on the till seemed surprised.

I bought an Apple ipad to take on holiday, it would not charge, no sound, and a flickering picture. When i returned from holiday i took it to be exchanged, Currys refused and would only repair it.So basically, i paid for a brand new item, in good faith, Currys sold me a broken one, and insisted i end up with refurbished one! on telling my misfortune to my friend, he informed me he bought a TV online from currys, it was delivered smashed, again no exchange! had to wait weeks for a refurbished one to be delivered. The moral of the story..... Never ever ever buy from currys.... their customer service is a disgrace!!

I've been in a couple of times recently to look for a washing machine, dryer and a fridge freezer. Trish has been a phenomenal help, all help and knowledge and not at all pushy. Love delaying with helpful and honest people. Michael was also the same the one time we spoke to him. A credit to Currys.

This isn't a place I would personally recommend, came in with a friend to order a cooker and we received a defective cooker. The people who delivered us a cooker took it back and when we came back to address the issue we wanted the same cooker but it was £100 more then the one we originally ordered, same model just a different colour and they wanted to charge us not only the extra £100 but £100 installation, there were none of the other originals left, overall not a place I would recommend.
