Went in to close a business account on the 20th. Was told the remaining balance had been transferred to my personal account. But that the manager would need to sign to confirm closure of account, but that he was out the branch. I was told it would be dealt with when he was back and to save me waiting around I could just leave.Today I was charged again for the account putting it into overdraft. The account wasn?t closed and neither had the remaining balance been transferred!!!When I first started using Metro it was fantastic, but sadly seems to of gone downhill rapidly. Such a shame. Have taken my accounts elsewhere.

Wasted my time today. Didn't answer the phone so had to go in to open an account. Had to go back at 3pm but that's fine. Sat down to do open account and said had to do more checks on me and would call me. I cancelled it, went in to tsb and passed the checks, account opened very satisfied. Also on way out the manger was sniggering about us. Very poor service. My dad has ccjs and got an account no issues. I haven't got any ccj or missed payments. Very bizarre way to do business.

When it initially opened, the service was first-rate. I have noticed a decline in customer service since after the pandemic. Never had to wait, and the personnel was always welcoming. These days you need to look around hoping that someone has noticed you. Having said that, I'm glad it opened when all the banks were closed. That is the only reason I use their service.

The best Bank in England! Staff is always willing to help, kind and friendly. Until now the oly bank where the staff is not racist! We do have a favourite staff member, sorry but Molly is the best ?? Don't ever let her go!!!

DO NOT OPEN ANY CREDIT CARD OR ANY ACCOUNTS with Metro Bank. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANY OF YOUR MONEY!They do not resolve any disputes you have under the Consumer Credit Act and if you dispute a transaction they will freeze Please can you REPORT METRO BANK TO THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN as they are failing to comply with the relevant Banking legislation.

Is not about Peterborough store it's about landline. Horrible, horrible, horrible. First the is machine who sounds like human but doesn't understand what you are saying. Then I need it to wait for almost 10 minutes to speak to someone. The person on the other side was difficult to understand. I have said I need to update something and then after many minutes he asks if I have this this. I said that's the reason I call him because I need to update for new one. The problem has not been resolved.
