Stayed in the rooms at the back of the pub it was very clean and modern purpose built building with all things needed, towels, mini soaps, kettle, tea coffee cups. Had our evening meal at pub very nice. Lovely place to stay over and explore the area. Breakfast lovely too, ( typical all Full English) pre order what you want night before, there were other choices but not interested in them

Great food, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere. Not the easiest of places to enter by wheelchair. Service a bit slow but it was a busy Saturday night.

Popped in for lunch and asked for two jacket potatoes, to which the none too friendly landlord said 'we stop serving food at 2.00' - it was 2.03!!!! Won't be returning.

Couldn't sit by the fire as that table was 'reserved' for a group of selfish locals!? Wasn't the dining room area either but the main bar. It's a pub and that kind of behaviour seems a bit ridiculous to me. Other than that it's generally a great pub.

Had Sunday Lunch today ordered the Roast beef lots of vegetables which I enjoyed the Beef however was very tough ,when the waitres asked if all was ok we said beef was tough she did not iven let us finish our sentence so not Impressed.

Last minute late night pizza order, amazing professional service from the chef - even adapted the order to suit my autistic son. Great food, great service! Will definitely be returning.

Good B&B. Service was exceptionally good and great breakfast. Location is so-so but ok if you have a car. The room standard was beyond expectations for a B&B. Reocmmended for a short stay in Melburn. Also ok for business travellers as the rooms have a large desk.

Had lunch here then went for a walk on the trail that runs behind the pub. On the way back wife went inside to use the toilet. When she came out a member of staff made the comment "oh just walk in and use the toilet" before walking away so that my wife couldn't respond. Won't be back. Went to Hot Numbers for dessert, wonderful happy staff and no snarky comments when using their facilities.

Had Sunday lunch with friends, the food wasn't as nice as the last time I went, not sure if there's a different chef, in side needs a coat of paint, outside is lovely, the atmosphere is really friendly, staff were okay. Was totally spoiled because of all the flies, perhaps they should get something to put up in the pub to deter them, or kill, as it was horrible trying to eat while they were all flying around.

We had an overnight stay as we were attending a venue elsewhere. The outdoor area was busy when we arrived in the early afternoon with people who were local. (Overheard their conversations!) The weather was pleasant. We were shown our room which was separate from the main pub. The room was clean, bright and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the breakfast in the pub in a dining area the following day, although there was a mixup with the time as we had requested 8am when asked the day before. When we were let into the pub we were told the kitchen had been advised 9am. There was no menu or detail regards what a cooked breakfast consisted of, and other couples too were unsure when asked what they wanted. The dining room would have benefitted from some soft background music. The cooked breakfast was delicious Although the toast arrived a short while before and we had not been asked what type of bread we wanted, it was assumed one slice of each between us. When we had checked out we met the owner outside who asked about our stay. We were happy to tell him we liked the room and breakfast, but would suggest a better system regards timings and a menu. Apparently there should have been a form for us to complete upon arrival which would have had all the details required for breakfast selection. The gentleman who showed us to our room the day should have dealt with this. The pub itself has plenty of outdoor seating and a pleasant view to the rear. There is a short walk you can take from the rear along a river. I would stay here again and would recommend it for a good place to stop for food and an overnight stay. Overall decent value for money, just needed a slicker service for overnight guests.Rooms: Modern and clean
