“Due to the proximity with the university - maybe - sometimes it's possible to find real gems of books at basement bargain prices.Last I found, books by Peter Druker and Michael Porter.”

“Brilliant shop. Excellent selection of books always of superb quality. Of specific praise is the DVD section, the stock they get in is so good, Curzon, criterion, rare old foreign films, BFI releases- just excellent.”

“An essential and regular destination for the keen purveyor of used books; in addition to the vinyl, CDs, audio books, DVDs, and video games on offer. It is quite a challenge to leave this shop empty-handed. Overall, a good range of stock and a pleasant atmosphere conducive to an extended browse make this one of the best charity shops in Bristol”

“Such sweet staff! I went in and asked for something that they hadn't displayed and then produced exactly what I was looking for at an excellent price. Thanks again”

“Popped into the shop to just have a quick look, the quick look lasted well over an hour. We had a lovely time looking around, the ladies volunteering in the shop are absolutely fabulous, we had such a great time, so much laughing and happy chatter, will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for making our day so magical, as I sit here this evening going over our visit I chuckle, you ladies are special gems. Carol”

“Lovely shop, and unlike other nearby Barnardo shops, is open on Sundays and has a really decent sized selection of clothes. It's run very professionally, always has good displays and the staff go to some lengths to theme the shop during the year's festivities (Halloween, Christmas etc). It always feels clean and well laid out (no fusty tatt!). Prices are reasonable mostly, sometimes a bit steep but hey, it's for charity! They aren't as cheap as the filton shop prices, but the quality of clothing is a better grade generally speaking.”

“I've edited this review (delete last one) as it was not this shop I was complaining about. Sue Ryder is a good charity shop with good prices and friendly staff. It's managed to keep its prices down for goods as other charity shops take advantage.”

“Visited this charity shop for the first time on 28/06. The lady working there was so helpful and friendly; she checked out the back for more cuddly toys and books for me. Super cheap too, books £1.50 for 3 or 75p each and soft toys only 50p, this is much cheaper than most charity shops. I found lots of childrens books by quality authors. I will be visiting again.”

“(Translated by Google) Shop our komissionki type. Only the people here give things for free, and sell them cheaply, and the proceeds go to charity. There are things, dishes, toys, small household appliances, antique and vintage items. You can always find something useful, necessary, unusual or old and for a symbolic price.”

Charity shop so inexpensive pricing. Second hand good condition goods. Does not buy goods off anyone. Excepts donations of gift aid or not gift aid.
