Great location, friendly staff, very good rooms with a balcony and fantastic breakfast. Shall the AC was not working though. Ideal place to stay when training at Eastwood Park. I would recommend to anyone.

Stayed here on business 2 weeks running for 1 night each week. The hotel is in need of some TLC, although the rooms are to the usual Premier Inn comfortable standard Air conditioning was broken and this was one of the hottest days of the year, we asked at reception about the air conditioning and we were just told they don?t have air conditioning now. ( are repairs due? If so when? ) Breakfast is no longer served in the adjoining restaurant (Ship Inn) breakfast is in the hotel. Evening meals etc are still in the Ship. We decided to have a ?walk in breakfast? as we were unable to check in until later in the afternoon. Reception was pleasant and showed us to the breakfast room. At the breakfast room we were asked for our room number, we said no, this is a walk in breakfast. We were asked a further 4 times for our room number! No! ?Walk in breakfast!? I don?t have a room number yet! The following day I had my room number for breakfast, but this was still a problem as I hadn?t paid up front, I was expecting to pay on checkout as in any other hotel, I was not informed to pre pay. There are also no toilet facilities for walk in guests, which I find odd for somewhere that is serving food and drinks ( should this be a legal requirement? )

A overnight stay to break a long journey up. Rooms/beds comfortable. Hotel tired looking and need of some TLC. The room we stayed in (114) the bathroom had tried to be decorated but the floor looked like a builders yard and still black mould in the shower. BreaKfast room and breakfast good. Unable to connect to wi -fi.

Thought I would pay a little more than other local hotel so I could have air conditioning, , air conditioning didn?t work ( hottest day of year ) did provide a fan but no plug area to right hand side of bed , bathroom was not clean and you stub you?re toes when trying to go in and shut door , I stayed at hotel many years ago and rooms were more spacious/ better

Very tired hotel that needs a lot of tlc. Receptionist was unfriendly and really seemed as thought she didn?t want to be there. Hotel overall is very tatty and tired, it needs a lot of renovations, not up to usual premier inn standards. Our room was okay although bathroom was unclean, lots of stains, peeling paint, dirty floors. I really didn?t like that were was an external door in the room which was old and didn?t seem very secure. The car park lighting is absolutely atrocious, most of the lights dont work and it did not feel safe parking there and walking into the hotel. One benefit was the pub next door that did nice food, massive portions and was reasonably priced.

We have stopped here a few times over the last few years as a stop on the way to Cornwall, I have read reviews about the hotel needing some TLC but never experienced that until this visit. The staff were great but the room we had was old and tired, especially in the bathroom which had loose bath sides and skirting. This hotel could be so much better by bringing it up to standards other Premier inns

Great location and although the hotel is a little 'tired' we really enjoyed our stay. A great bonus was the express bus service into the centre of Bristol saving the problem of negotiating the city traffic and finding car parks. In addition it was so nice to have a balcony and a view over the Thornbury Cricket Club ground.

Decor is looking tired and not sure the corners were cleaned as we had cobwebs by the toilet - however the overall bathroom looked clean and it did not affect the quality of our sleep or the comfort of the bed was near the venue for our night out .

Stayed prior to an early flight from Bristol airport. Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was very small. Breakfast was good and served on time. The hotel was let down by the air conditioning not working. The room was very hot overnight and as the windows don?t open far there was no way to let the heat escape. Sleep quality was poor due to the heat. This would not be an issue in winter. Otherwise a pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, a comfortable bed, but a very tired and disappointing venue in sore need of refurbishment and new paint. This Premier Inn was not a patch on others we have used and we would not stay there again until it is refreshed and improved. The staff did their best for us, but other failings included WiFi that did not reach our room, non-functioning air conditioning and a breakfast that although OK, was not up to the usual Premier Inn standard. Overall best avoided.

Helpful and efficient staff. Well positioned on the edge of a village. Quiet night as usual with Premier inns Even had a veranda on our room. Another nice stay in a Premier Inn. Handy for Gloucester or Bristol

The good: the staff were great, helpful and friendly - the room was clean - the bed was very comfortable The bad: I've stayed in many, many Premier Inns throughout the UK and this was by far the worse for wheelchair access: - The bathroom was far too small for my (small 16ins manual) wheelchair. I couldn't turn and shut the door behind me and there was absolutely no room to transfer from my wheelchair onto the toilet. - There was just an ordinary bath which was impossible to use. - There is no way of reaching the sink from a wheelchair, there simply isn't enough space - The emergency cord was tied up high and therefore unreachable if I had fallen on the floor. Breakfast was at the Beefeater next door (as with most Premier Inns). Breakfast was mediocre and the plates were cold. Most of the staff were great, although one (middle aged) gentleman was curt and unfriendly to the point of being downright rude. I definitely would avoid staying here again.

From the outside , granted it?s not got curb appeal , but once inside its got everything you need . Room was spacious and comfortable. Added bonus was the view of the cricket field and little balcony outside . A premier inn with a view like this is hard to come by . Often I find bigger /city Premier Inns stuffy and hot inside , our room was a comfortable ambient temp , airy and so peaceful , which made for a great sleep . Breakfast in what looked to be a newly renovated dining room , as very good on both mornings . Seamlessly run , plenty of choices and food from the hot and continental buffet replenished regularly . Will definitely stay here again when visiting Bristol . Location was quiet but quickly and easy to get into the city centre.

Booked this hotel because of the location, however it was a mistake as the hotel itself is a run down and dated. The room we were staying is stink urine, and there were no staff at the reception most of the time and you have to ring the bell. No breakfast or other local info given so we were left to find our own solution. I have been staying in many Premier Inn in the past, this one should be demolished, it brings shame and embarrassment to the other of Premier Inn.
