Long queues with only one staff on duty.

Yet again, I visited (Thursday) and was stuck in queue for 25 minutes. Why? Because all the counters were closed (at 1630), with the exception of the 'Travel Money' counter.I would have given 1 star, had it not been for the only member of staff working who was making a real effort under stressful circumstances.Awful place.

Only one till open, from about six, with only one attendant, who also has to help out people in the self service kiosks occasionally. Expect to wait at least 20 mins.

It was a terrible experience, the staff was not interested in helping, queue extremely long, but only one person was serving

6 tills, 1 staff member, 40 people queueing - not very well managed business, they just know you can't do anything about it as you still need the services. Classic.

No queue, self check-out was easy to use and I was done in less then 5 minutes

I tend to go on a Sunday because it?s the only day i am free outside of work. Firstly the post office lights I noticed are always off on a Sunday which makes it dark and dismal. I don?t know if this is to make you think it?s closed from when you?re walking in or if they?re having an issue with the light bill. There is only ever one lady serving and she is so unwelcoming. She sits there with her green coat on reading a book, not a smile or a hello to be seen or heard. If she doesn?t want to be at work, why work for the post office. As a whole, the customer service needs to improve. And going by the comments on here I can agree that I have also had the misfortune of the miserable old man and lady they work like a tag team.

The person who served me was surly and rude and awful at explaining how to use the particular service I was trying to access. Every minor question or request from me was met with a stony faced look as though I'd just insulted the guys entire family. I wish I'd got the person serving in the window next to him as he was lovely and cheery professional to everyone he served!

Had to queue AGAIN in this branch to get a parcel weighed and posted. None of the self service desks working and just 2 counter staff on duty. Inefficient, expensive, poor service.

None of the self service working, one guy on the desk. Why is the post office in such trouble

The staff helped me post something to eBay, were very helpful and friendly.

I waited patiently in the queue and when I was finally served the gentleman was very rude towards me.I was wanting my passport to be sent and checked and so was sent to a different desk. He barely communicated with me at all and I told him that I was struggling to hear him through the glass. He just waved his hand and ignored me.His whole demeanour was that he was irritated and he was very impatient with me because I couldn?t hear.He would flick through the forms and then chat to his colleague beside him. I patiently waited for him. Again, no communication. He asked me to cut my passport photo in half but didn?t communicate how. This is my first adult passport so I was nervous about getting it wrong. I cut it in half but not the way he meant. I apologised and said sorry I didn?t know what you meant, and he replied gruffly; ?don?t worry about it. I?m better doing it myself?. He also quite sharply asked ?why do I have your tenancy agreement?? And I said that I thought that would count as proof of identity. Obviously I was mistaken so I asked if my birth certificate counted and if I could use provisional license. Again, very impatiently,?I?m telling you now it counts. Don?t worry? He then glances behind me at a girl who has had to queue three times (I watched in the queue) and he yelled across at her annoyed ?why are you waiting here!??She told him in very broken English that she had been sent back to his desk and so he walked out and yelled for someone to serve her. She looked quite upset. He did not apologise to me or to her. Just sat back down again in front of me.All in all just very unnecessary to be that rude. I appreciate it?s busy at this time of year but no one should be spoken to like that. I?m not stupid, just nervous and post-covid (I had a mask on). Please communicate and be polite not everyone will be able to hear you. There was also no assistance from the other colleague, who was also being quite gruff when anyone came to her desk and asked a question, she?d ignore them and then snap ?I?m not serving?.

All seven self-service machines are broken, so you have to queue. Went at 2.30pm on a weekday and the queue was about 30 people long. Why don't they hire more staff to deal with the queues or get the machines fixed? I don't know. But don't come here unless you're prepared to queue, potentially for a while.

This place is a joke. Conservatives and privatisation are destroying the country.
