Always worth going in to see what they have. Good prices, wide range of books and a decent science fiction section upstairs. ?

Due to the proximity with the university - maybe - sometimes it's possible to find real gems of books at basement bargain prices.Last I found, books by Peter Druker and Michael Porter.

Situated across the road from Bristol University's imposing Wills Memorial Tower, this particular branch of Oxfam is generally well-stocked with academic books, which can be found on the first floor in amongst overflowing shelves of classics, sci-fi, and a large range of fiction genres and non-fiction disciplines. The predominant feature of the ground floor is the selection of general fiction. It is clear that the staff and volunteers pay a great deal of attention in designing window displays, keeping the shop in a very neat condition, and providing customers with valuable assistance. The range of stock on offer, combined with the very reasonable prices, means that it is usually quite difficult to leave the shop empty-handed. You may well pay a little extra in here than in other similar shops, but the extra cost is justified in consideration of the care and attention of the staff in selecting and providing what is usually top-quality stock, in addition to the welcoming and considerate help that is always available.

This is a brilliant Oxfam bookshop, I was so gutted when the Weston Super Mare branch closed (as were so many of my friends) that we now have to travel. Whilst we can't visit as often, this is the best second hand shop for books in Bristol and a quality Oxfam experience

If you looking for eclectic and good quality CD's or records this shop is great! Of course it is an Oxfam shop, everything is donated, so you never know what you're going to find and the prices are great! All the money is for a great cause and it beats the run of the mill, expensive new shops any day!
