“Good gym but…I’ve been away for 4 weeks due to injury. The exercise bike is still out of order as well as the vending machine and the windows are sweating with condensation….Pure gym why are things broken for so long and why is it so hot in here?! Whew”

“This is a great gym. Reminds me of the gym from Rocky - real people! They play good music and have all the equipment you need. Affordable too, plus you can take a friend as a guest for free on the weekend. Everyone is super friendly and the place has a positive atmosphere.”

“Absolutely fantastic customer service! The team stayed in regular contact from order to delivery, the items arrived faster than anticipated, and when there was a problem with one item a replacement was organised within half a day. Couldn't fault them and would wholeheartedly recommend!”

“Best gym to which I have been going. I have been visiting AF Bradley Stoke for 9 years. Before, I went to about 10 different gyms in different cities/countries (Nottingham, Prague, Horfield Bristol etc.) this gym stands out due to the following: always clean, in excellent working condition, great equipment especially for men’s work-out - weights with olympic bars and racks, majority of machines are well designed to me as I am very tall. You can come truely at anytime and especially off-peak you will get you to where you want to as not too crowded. Gym members are generally caring about the gym and that is partly why it is in a good condition. The music is not too loud so Airpods Pro will noise-cancell it well for your own stuff to listen to. Highly recommend, the price is also adequate!”

“We came to Bristol for a weekend break and I usually come to the area maybe three or four times a year and always felt guilty about neglecting exercising because i didn't know there was a PureGym in the area.PureGym Bristol Central was a mere three-minute walk from my hotel at Travelodge Central and i liked that i didn't even need to bring much because it was that close to the hotel. We first came here this weekend and we did get a bit lost walking around the building but i think it was the Google Maps placement that made it look like it was opposite Pizza Express but it isn't.We came into the building and it was a standard capsule entry where you have to enter your pin to get access to the gym. You then need to take the lift up to either the 4th floor (the main section) or the 5th floor where the lockers and changing room are.I initially thought it was a bit of a confusing layout because it was a different style of building compared to the other gyms i have been to under the same PureGym franchise. We liked that the lockers here are bigger than the standard sizes so we could fit in a backpack instead of just being given space for a phone and maybe some change. The changing rooms here were bigger and i liked the showers, I didn't have a chance to use them because my hotel was literally around the corner but they looked high quality. The glass door was a little off-putting but it hid the private areas so i guess that's something. We used the treadmill first, this was an older style of treadmill than my local and it even had the connection points for an iPod. However, they were all on standby mode meaning it looked kike it wasn't working but you have to press the green "Go" for up to eight seconds before it reboots.I liked that there were multiple of the same machine meaning i could choose where i wanted to run but some of them were unusable due to some of them facing the bright white building that the sun was reflecting and i wonder if that was more suited for the clouder days perhaps.I had a good run and then i tried some of the weights, this is not down to the company but the customers themselves who would leave huge sports bags and jackets on some of the machines when they were not using them. This seemed to be accepted by the community and it really shouldn't be.Otherwise, it was a great gym and i am glad i visited, it is nice that i could exercise while being away from home and i like how it is open 24 7 meaning i can choose when i can exercise.”

“As someone who has recently joined the gym I’d say it has everything you need. Having a PT like Will Clifford has made it even more encouraging. He is a great PT, very friendly and working hard to get me into shape!”
