“You could not wish for a better Post Office/Village Store. Umang and Vaishali are fantastic and so dedicated, they stock everything you could need or think of (in the region of 6000 products I believe). During the pandemic lockdowns they provided a lifeline to the local community, especially the elderly/those sheltering. Josh who often mans the shop is always friendly and helpful. Great opening times. If you need to get there by car the parking can be tricky at busy times, but that's Pensford for you. An absolute asset to the village, thank you.”

“An essential and regular destination for the keen purveyor of used books; in addition to the vinyl, CDs, audio books, DVDs, and video games on offer. It is quite a challenge to leave this shop empty-handed. Overall, a good range of stock and a pleasant atmosphere conducive to an extended browse make this one of the best charity shops in Bristol”

“Great off licence, the gentleman behind the counter is always friendly, he makes time to chit chat whilst I pay and always says ‘God bless you’. It may only be a small interaction, but I always leave the shop feeling peaceful. I’m not from Bristol, I travel from Swansea for work, but this is my go to shop for whatever I may need. Five stars for this shop and the owner/staff. This isn’t your regular off licence!”

“Such sweet staff! I went in and asked for something that they hadn't displayed and then produced exactly what I was looking for at an excellent price. Thanks again”

“Just difficult to find a specific book that you need. Think the alphabetic layout needs some kind of clarity / signage like in your local library dewey system. Otherwise staff are great and there are plenty of choices. We love the boardgames section which has a wide range of options too.”

“Love this shop, for a wargamer like myself you never know what you might find hidden away on the shelves. Worth popping I'm and spending 10 - 20 minutes having a gander.”

“A place where you are welcomed and supported, very much a church for the community and beyond. The conferences are educational as well as inspiring and the teachings are also relatable to everyday life, being understandable and uplifting plus the musical talent is amazing, worshiping and rejoicing in god from a place of happiness, joy and love. A safe, non-judgemental space for anyone to go for healing, learning, prayer and reflection where the word of god will penetrate your whole being. For me it was a blessing that Carmel came into my life when it did ?♥️✝️”

“I'm pretty certain that there has been a WH Smith in this centre since it opened in the early 80s, although I think it used to be in a different place perhaps where Starbucks is now.Anyway, if you're after newspapers, magazines, other periodicals, art supplies, school supplies, stationery, cards or all manner of other paper and paper related products, this is really the best/only place in the high street. Luckily, whilst not especially cheap compared to what you could get online, Smiths has stock variety, availablity AND accessibility on its side. I used to be a bit naughty and read quite a few magazines without buying.... but nowadays I of course simply read stuff online.TldrIf you need stuff quickly and can't wait next day, this is always a good option.”
