Sorry but I had a bad feeling about this place. I was told I needed a new steering rack and a tire. Lots of conversations about replacement of this at 58000 miles and cost and the fact they could not do it. Mechanic found nothing wrong. Trying to retest was hard but it passed ok. Seems very dodgy, sorry but never again will I use them

I dropped my car in for a service and MOT through my newly acquired membership from Halfords. First time and never again. I'm sorry but I cannot even put it into words how bitterly dissatisfied I am with this place. Full refund please.

Dear Halfords TeamI have been sending complaints via email but as I haven't received any response so I have to log in my complaint here.Complaint-1: Formal Complaint Regarding Recent Car Service and Subsequent BreakdownI am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the recent major service I booked for my car on 13/01/2023, and the subsequent breakdown that occurred on 19/01/2024. I had opted for the major service with additional add-ons costing £345.86 to ensure a comprehensive and top-quality servicing for my vehicle.During the service, your team recommended additional maintenance tasks, including changing the rear fog light, right reversing light, front wheel balancing, diesel system cleaner, and oil system flush. Despite the added cost, I agreed to these recommendations in the interest of ensuring the safety and roadworthiness of my car.However, my experience following the service has left me deeply dissatisfied. On 19/01/2024, my car unexpectedly broke down on the M4 motorway, between Junctions 4B and 5.The breakdown was not only an inconvenience but also raised serious questions about the quality of the recent servicing my car received from Halfords. I opted for the major service, which is the most expensive option available, with the expectation of receiving premium quality service. However, the breakdown has left me questioning whether my car is truly roadworthy and safe, as one would expect after a major service.The entire experience has been disheartening, and I am now seriously considering choosing a different servicing company for my future needs. I have been recommended by my colleagues to consider Protyre or Kwitfit instead of Halfords for next time. I had hoped for a positive experience after entrusting my car to Halfords for servicing, but the breakdown has left me disappointed and concerned.Complaint-2: Unresolved Issue Regarding Pollen Filter Replacement and RefundI am writing to bring to your attention a concerning experience I had during my major car service, and the subsequent lack of resolution regarding the replacement of the pollen filter.To address the inconvenience caused, your team offered me a refund of £20, which I reluctantly accepted, given the constraints of my busy schedule and the hassle involved in finding an alternative service provider at that time. However, since then, I have not received the promised refund, and I have not received any communication or update from your customer care team regarding this matter. Furthermore, I have not been provided with a refund receipt.Complaint-3: Non-receipt of electronic copy of car service reportI am writing to express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding the non-receipt of the electronic copy of my car service report for the major service conducted on 13/01/2023.I kindly request your urgent attention to this matter. I'm so sorry I had to write this message your been good to me over the years and my family we use your garage this message is not against the company its to one of there outlets garages my car been in your garage since July iv explained to them I'm a mother of 6 kids. The only way I have to bring my kids to schools and appointments and its effecting them with well being, because I was lead to believe when I left my vehicle in to get repaired that I would have able to get on a monthly payment plan. I have have been trying to get this solved since July 2023 now there telling me there going to put my car in storage I I don't come up with this money. I told them I'm on benefits and I'm willing to pay 150 a month as I don't have 1600 at once. Whoever reads this message I hope you can help me.hope to here from you soon.

Are Halfords still in business as they are not answering the phone in Farnham common today for over 13 minutes and similarly been on hold on Farnham road for over 10 minutes ?its 9am

Friendly and capable. Has my fleet car serviced here. Not all parts were available on the day but a 10 minute visit a day or two later saw my new wiper blades fitted too.

Came here with my young child for a mot, booked in for 9am and made clear I needed the car back as soon as it was finished. After nearly 2 hours of pointless walking around (as i was told we couldn?t wait in reception) my child needed a nappy change which the bag was in the car so went back and it had been sat outside waiting but receptionist did not call and when questioned on this she then rolled her eyes (when I asked Mechanic how long it had been sat there for he said an hour) I will never use this place now. As second time they?ve left me ages to collect my car for no reason. No wonder there is never anywhere to park when they have finished cars outside that can be collected asap. Common sence out the window.

My dad recently purchased a second hand vehicle where the previous owner had gotten a new clutch kit installed by Halfords. The invoice and T&Cs state the warranty is valid for 24 months or 24k miles - neither of them have been reached yet. When we took the vehicle for a repair they refused to do it because there has been a change in ownership hence the warranty is no longer valid. Utter nonsense!!!

Scheduled MOT 2 weeks in advance and they cancelled it on the day when I arrived there. Asked me to wait for 4-5 hr just for email regarding cancellation. Pathetic service

Going for one thing, they usually tell you ?oh, there is something else?I don?t care I never asked. The belt got ripped (the cost is 10£) and of course with labour 140£ immediately. Okey when the car will be done ?after two days sir?On the day they called me ?ohhh there is something that cost the rip and we have to change that as well. 540£ all of it and your car will be really tomorrow (3 days)No thank you
