It's hard not to like HMV but it's also hard to understand how it's still in existence. When I stepped in there it felt like being transported back to the 90s . Rows of CDs and Vinyl . T shirts of Bands and posters . It almost feels like a museum as for me it contains nothing I need but was interesting to look at . Asides from this it is a nice store with friendly staff .

A good selection of vinyl albums and the 2 for £40 section was great although standard pieces were quite a bit more expensive than amazon or other Internet sellers.

Always a good place to go, with some unusual vinyl collections showing up now and again. Large selections to go through when it comes to vinyl, cd, dvd and Blu-ray, as well as merch if that is your thing.

Nice collection of music and movies. Stores like these have become very rare in the States, so it's a treat to see a media that isn't digital.

1000's of CDs and DVDs, all music genres catered for, 100's of video games, its the go to shop for entertainment. 10/10.

Found what I was looking for, don't usually use this shop but as supermarkets have stopped selling DVD's & CD's this is now the only option

Great record shop with a big selection. I didn't have enough eyes. Nice to find bands like Rancid and Feeder in a shop.

Friendly staff, good selection of stuff to browse. A bit biased because I used to work at hmv up North but it's still good to see these places going. Great selection as all ways for media and tech and nice workers who are actually passionate about the stuff they sell.

So glad they've expanded their Kpop and Asian snacks sections! I always visit when I get the chance to visit Reading, staff are always really friendly and helpful too :)

Unlike some other HMV this store had an extensive and wide ranging K-pop selection, with a mix of K-pop groups from different generations. It also had a wide range of funko pops with lots from niche or cult classic movies.

It's an interesting shop. It's changed since the heyday of cd's and dvd's but they're all still there but alongside more t-shirts and collectables and wierd overseas drinks. They have intriguing boxes that contain, for instance, £25 of mystery content for £10 - but I didn't buy one!

So glad to see this Reading branch of HMV survived when sadly, so many others had to go.I wanted to find out if they do in store vouchers. Yes they do, so that is good newsThe major thing I noticed when I first walked in was the huge Vinyl Records corner. Vinyl really seems to have taken off again and it was like being back in the 80s and 90s for me walking in to record shops.Let's keep this British staple alive and keep physical media going and growing. Not only does it help the few shops that still exist but the artists and film makers who create the content we buy will benefit much more from sales than they do steaming. You never know, it might even bring ticket prices to live shows and the cinema down if more physical media is sold.
